Ukraine is planning to increase revenues from exports of Ukrainian agricultural products this year to $22 billion. Last year alone, Ukraine exported $18.2 billion worth of agricultural products, which was 40% more than in 2011.

Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said this during a discussion "Investment in Ukraine's Agricultural Sector. Let's Feed the World Together!" as part of the first international business conference "ABC: Ukraine & Partners" in Kyiv on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Agricultural products account for a fourth of total exports from Ukraine. In 2012, one in eleven tons of grain sold on the world market was domestically produced. We have a 9.2% share in the global trade in grain crops. Last year, exports of agricultural products amounted to 18.2 billion dollars, which was 40% more than in the previous year," the minister said.

He also said that it is planned to implement a number of projects in key sectors of agriculture as part of the state economic development stimulation program for 2013-2014.
