German economy overcoming weak phase: Weidmann

The German economy has largely overcome the weak phase, Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann said in a speech on Monday.
Weidmann expects a moderate growth this year. But much will depend on the developments in Europe, he said in Frankfurt.
The Bundesbank last week downgraded Germany's growth outlook for this year to 0.3 percent, citing "structural problems" in Eurozone. It projects 1.5 percent expansion for 2014.
