According to brokers, talks continue between shipowners and charterers about the new season’s grain freight rates in the Black Sea region. UkrAgroConsult reported a week ago that the grain shipping price for the new season is USD 5-10/MT above the current level. A significant gap between the freight rate ideas of shipowners and charterers is noticed this week. So, shipowners suggest USD 22/MT for delivery of a 3.5 KMT wheat lot from Romania to Greece, while charterers suggest USD 17.5/MT.
