Kazakhstan GDP growth may decline by 0.1% - Economy and Budget Planning Ministry

Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 2013 could be reduced by 0.1% from the projected level of 6%, Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Madina Abylkasymova stated during the plenary session "Regional Integration. Challenges and Perspectives of the Single Economic Space" within the VI Astana Economic Forum.
"According to our estimates, the projected decline in the growth of the Russian economy from 3.7% to 2.4% in 2013 can reduce the growth of Kazakhstan's GDP by 0.1%, as a minimum, from the projected level of 6%," Abylkasymova said.
As noted by the Deputy Minister, the correction of the forecast is related primarily to the deterioration of the situation in the Russian economy, which today has the largest share in the total volume of Kazakhstan's exports.
As she noted, this year Kazakhstan's exports may decline by 0.3% from the projected level of 3.5%.
