Latin America, Caribbean forecast to be among investment leaders by 2030

Countries in Latin America and the Caribbean will be among the developing nations that become leaders in global savings and investments by 2030, the World Bank says.
The World Bank, in a report released Sunday, said as much as half of the global stock of capital, 158 trillion U.S. dollars based on 2010 estimates, would be in the developing world by 2030.
That compares to less than one-third today; and countries in East Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean would account for the largest shares, the bank report said.
The report also projected that developing countries' share in global investment would triple by 2030 to three-fifths, from one-fifth in 2000.
