MHP released Q1 2013 financial results

According to the official reports released by the group of companies, net revenue grew by 2% to USD 304 M compared to USD 298 M during the Q1 2012. EBITDA declined by 13% to USD 73 M compared to USD 84 M during Q1 2012 due to increase of chicken production costs, which resulted from higher price of grains and selling prices remaining at the same level. Net profit declined by 24% to USD 36 M compared to USD 48 M during the Q1 2012.
AgroInvest comment: Ukrainian Agrarian Index reacted to the news with daily decline of -1.27% and MHP capitalization drop of -2.22%. It is clear that the situation will remain similar for other meat producers in Ukraine.
