Comment of MFA in connection with approving recommendation of the Eurocommission to the EU Council to sign Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomes the approved on May 15, 2013 decision of the Collegium of the European Commission to recommend to the Council of Europe to sign the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and also to make possible its temporary use before ratification procedures by the EU member states are completed.
It is a significant step in the direction of finalizing all the procedures necessary to ensure signing the Agreement during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November of this year.
In turn, the Ukrainian party directs necessary efforts to realization of understandings achieved on the results of the Ukraine-EU Sixteenth Summit, targeting signing the Agreement in the fixed terms.
