Fixed investment grew by 7.9% for four months of 2013 – Kazakh Statistics Agency

The volume of investment in the country’s fixed capital grew by 7.9% and amounted to 1.25 trillion tenge in January-April 2013 compared to the same period last year, head of the Statistics Agency Alikhan Smailov has announced today.
"The volume of investment in fixed assets in January-April 2013 amounted to 1.25 trillion tenge, which is 7.9% more than in the same period of 2012," Smailov said.
The short-term economic indicator in January-March 2013 to January-March 2012 was 103.9%.
As for the other indicators of socio-economic development of the country, in April 2013, the volume of industrial production reached 5.92 trillion tenge, which is by 1.9% more than during the same period of 2012.
In turn, the volume of agricultural GDP in March 2013 amounted to 286.3 billion tenge, which is by 1% more than in January-April 2012, the volume of freight traffic in the country remained at the same level, so that its figures were 145.9 billion tenge.
