Kazakhstan's real GDP growth to remain at 6% this year, says Minister of Economy

Real GDP growth will remain at 6% in Kazakhstan in 2013, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dosayev told a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
"Real GDP growth in Kazakhstan in 2013 will remain at the approved level of 6%," the Minister said.
According to him, nominal GDP is projected to make 34 trillion 291 billion tenge, which is by 2 trillion 331 billion tenge less than previously planned.
"The decrease in the forecast for nominal terms in 2013 was influenced by the last year’s low base, the projected slowdown in the steel industry, chemical industry and the decline in world commodity prices," Dosayev noted.
"The outlook for inflation will be kept at the approved level and not exceed the corridor of 6% -8%," the Minister said.
According to the forecast, oil price in 2013 will be 100 dollars per barrel.
