Customs Union ready to compensate for losses from WTO sanctions to Ukraine in case of accession - Medvedchuk

The Customs Union is ready to pay USD 1.9 billion to Ukraine annually as compensation for the losses from the WTO sanctions for revision of customs duties.
Initiator of the public movement Ukrainian Choice Viktor Medvedchuk has said about this in the Shuster Live talk show, a UKRINFORM correspondent reports.
“The Customs Union is interested in Ukraine as a full-fledged member and is ready to annually compensate for our losses in case of joining the Customs Union and the loss to be inflicted by the WTO sanctions to the amount of USD 1.9 billion annually,” Medvedchuk said.
He also said that the Customs Union accession will allow Ukraine to annually save about USD 10 billion in its budget, which may be used for social programs and the economy development.
