The negotiations between the Customs Union and Vietnam on the establishment of a free trade zone are underway, Deputy Prime Minister Kairat Kelimbetov said at XI meeting of the Eurasian Media Forum, dedicated to Eurasian integration.

"We are very pleased that many countries are seeking the Customs Union membership, now Ukraine is very interested in the legislation of the Customs Union. Many countries are seeking to conclude an agreement on free trade zone. Presently, we are in such negotiations with Vietnam, and other countries," Kelimbetov said.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the interest from different countries in the Customs Union was due to the fact that the Customs Union is a large and diversified market.

According to Kelimbetov, Kazakhstan participates in several integration processes having different pace - CIS, EurAsEC. For three years we have passed a long way. This is the acceptance and ratification of documents - 70 agreements on Customs Union, 17 – on Single Economic Space.

In addition, he said that more than 50 agreements would be signed this year within the framework of the Eurasian integration.
