Bunge plans a new crushing plant in Ukraine

Bunge plans to build a large oilseed crushing plant and expand its logistics facilities in the Nikolayev Commercial Sea Port in Ukraine, according to Forbes news. The processing plant will be the largest of its kind in Ukraine with a daily capacity of 2,400 tonnes, or 876,000 tonnes per year. The project, estimated at more than $100 million in investment, is scheduled for completion for late 2015. The new facility will be sitting next to the company's grain terminal at the Nikolayev Commercial Sea Port. The terminal will also be expanded to meet the growing export demand from the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
Bunge's assets in Ukraine include Dnipropetrovsk Oil Extraction Plant which produces sunflower oil under the well-known brand "Oleina", a grain merchandising company SunTrade with grain elevators in some regions in Ukraine, as well as the export grain terminal at the Nikolayev Commercial Sea Port.
