Poland's exports of goods to Ukraine reach $756mln in two month of 2013

In January-February 2013 Poland exported goods to Ukraine at USD 756 million, 18% up over than the same period in 2012, the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) said in a report on Tuesday.
"In January-February this year among the main trading partners of Poland, the country increased exports to Ukraine, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and Russia, and imports - from the United States. A drop in exports was recorded in trade relations with Italy, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, and imports - from Russia, France, Italy, etc." the paper said.
It is reported that in two months, exports totaled PLN 96.6 million (over USD 31.1 million), while imports PLN 96.2 million (USD 31 million). Thus, the trade surplus amounted to PLN 400 million (about USD 130 million), which is the best indicator of Poland's foreign trade since 1990. It is emphasized that, compared with the same period last year, Poland's exports increased by 0.1%, while imports fell by 9.8%.
