According to the official information released by Bloomberg, Warsaw and Vienna stock exchanges have started negotiations on merger which would result in creating single trading platform for future placements of Central and Eastern European companies. However it was noted that the negotiations are currently in the early stage, therefore, it is still not clear whether the deal would actually go through. Warsaw stock exchange is currently considered to be the largest stock exchange in the region, by capitalization.

AgroInvest comment: We presume that potential merger of the stock exchanges might be another reason for lack of IPOs in 2012 and beginning of 2013.
