Russia's January trade surplus up 17.7% to $19.2 bln

Russia's foreign trade surplus rose 17.7% in January 2011 to $19.2 billion, the Economic Development Ministry said on Thursday.
Exports amounted to $34.5 billion in January, which is 24.6% more compared to the first month of 2010 but 18.5% lower than in December 2010. Imports rose 34.5% to $15.3 billion comparing with January 2010 but fell by 43.1% compared to December 2010, the ministry said.
