Will Ukraine’s corn be imported to China in the 4th quarter of 2013?

2013-03-29 15:53:21

With continual annual economic growth of over 7% and urbanisation in China, meat consumption and hence the derived demand for protein meals and corn keeps on rising. However, with limited arable land and small scale of farming, China’s oilseeds production remains stagnant for past few years and corn production growth was interrupted by unpredicted bad weather. It opens wide window for oilseeds and corn import in years ahead. In case of soybeans, it took 10 years for China to import from zero (00/01 crop year) to 50 mln tons (09/10 crop year). How many years it will take for China to import additional 50 mln tons? and How long it will take for corn to repeat soybean import volume? Will Ukraine’s corn be imported to China in the 4th quarter of 2013 and how?

These issues will be highlighted at the X International Conference “Black Sea Grain: Export Forever!” by Renault Quach, Dongling Grain & Oil Co., China.

Traditionally, “Black Sea Grain-2013” conference will discuss the prospects of the global and Black Sea markets in the coming season 2013/14, as well as investments in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. These hot topics will be presented by the leading international experts.

The X Jubilee Conference “Black Sea Grain-2013” is organized by a consulting agency “UkrAgroConsult” and will take place on April 17-18, 2013 in InterContinental Hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
