Ukraine's First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov assures that the hryvnia exchange rate will remain predictable, and the Ukrainians should not be afraid of significant fluctuations.
He said this during a briefing on Tuesday, a correspondent of UKRINFORM reported.
"We guarantee that in the future, too, the rate will be fairly predictable and understandable. Even if it varies somehow, it is not to the extent to trouble our people," Arbuzov said.
He noted that the intervention of the National Bank in the process of exchange rate formation will be limited.
According to him, it is very difficult to artificially adjust the rate in a state with multi-million population and export potential as Ukraine.
"The supply fully meets the demand on the interbank market now. We will not artificially interfere with the process. This is the position of the Government and the National Bank," the first deputy prime minister said.
