Grain exports reached 18.7mn tonnes since the start of 2012/13 fiscal year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food estimates. Since the start of the fiscal year Ukraine has exported 6.184mn tonnes of wheat, 2.037mn tonnes of barley, 10.141mn tonnes of maize, as well as other crops. In February alone, 1.1mn tonnes of grain crops were supplied to foreign markets and 242,100 tonnes of oil-bearing crops. The Agricultural ministry expects 3%-5% of the 8.1mn hectares planted for the 2013 harvest to be replanted, stated ministry's official Oleksandr Demydov. According to him, the weather conditions are presently favorable to winter crops, 92% or 7.45mn hectares are in good or satisfactory condition, and only 8% or 0.64mn hectares are problematic.
