Podia to increase import of Belarusian tractors to France, Belgium, Luxembourg

2013-02-27 11:39:00

French company Podia intends to increase the number of Belarusian tractors imported to France, Belgium and Luxembourg to 2,000-3,000 per annum within the next five years. This announcement was made by Eric Renault, Podia’s CEO, at the presentation of Belarusian agricultural equipment in Paris.

Eric Renault has a positive outlook on the future of the import of Belarusian agricultural machinery to French, Belgian and Luxembourg markets. The French company obtained the exclusive distribution rights for the Belarusian machinery in these markets. They will soon be considering importing the equipment to African and Latin American countries in the near future.

During the presentation in Paris, MTZ representatives explained to the guests that Belarusian tractors are imported to a number of European countries with the exception of the French market which up to day, has not been covered. The Belarusian stand at the exhibition which was represented jointly by MTZ and Podia and was organized with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in France, clearly demonstrated that our tractors enjoy great popularity

It is worthwhile mentioning that the exhibition was attended by a French farmer who first bought Belarusian tractor in 1967. According to this tractor owner the equipment still works quite well.

“Solidity, simplicity and ecology” – the motto which will be used by Podia when advising and importing the Belarusian equipment on the French market.

Sima – 2013, one of the biggest in the world exhibitions of innovations and achievements in agriculture, is usually organized once every two years. The exhibition presents a broad spectrum of agricultural equipment, farming, harvesting, irrigation, renewable energy and other aspects of agriculture.

The exhibition includes demonstration of agricultural products and machinery, as well as seminars and conferences on innovations in agriculture. Most importantly, the exhibition is a good place to see agricultural equipment produced by the world’s largest producers and to find out about innovations in agriculture not only in Europe but around the world.
