Foreign investors bring over $6 billion to Ukraine in 2012

Foreign entities made more than $6 billion of direct investments in the Ukrainian economy in 2012, the State Statistics Service reported on its website.
"In 2012, foreign entities made USD 6.0131 billion of direct investment (equity) in the Ukrainian economy," the report says.
According to the State Statistics Service, "the total volume of foreign direct investment (equity) made in the Ukrainian economy by December 31, 2012 reached USD 54,462.4 million, which is 8.2% more than the volume of investment at the beginning of 2012, and is USD 1,199.3 per capita.
Investments came from 130 countries. The main investor countries are Cyprus - 17.275 billion dollars, Germany - 6.317 billion dollars, the Netherlands - 5.169 billion dollars and Russia - 3.786 billion dollars.
