Kazakhstan can export 7 million tonnes of grain in 2013, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Asylzhan Mamytbekov said after the government meeting, according to Kazakh media.
"We estimate our potential in terms of grain exports. This year, the amount may reach seven million tonnes. This is slightly below average, but much lower than in last marketing year. In 2012, we exported 12.8 million tons," Mamytbekov added.
According to him, Kazakhstan has already exported about 3.3 million tons of grain since the beginning of the marketing year. He also added that the large amounts will be not shipped to Russia.
