Ukraine's Agriculture Minister, Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, stated that during the current agricultural year, the country's exports of grain will reach 21 million tons, reported Xinhua News. The minister said that the figure is down from previous estimates of 23.2 million tons. Prysyazhnyuk noted that his country will not impose any ban on grain exports during the current marketing year. Kiev has already shipped 16.5 million tons of grain, and if the country keeps the same pace, its grain exports will stay high, according to the minister. During the 2011-2012 marketing year, Ukraine exported 22.5 million tons of grain, and harvested a record high of 56 million tons in 2011. It is worth noting that in 2012, Ukraine harvested 46.2 million tons of crops.
