Cabinet changes investment programs selection procedure

Ukraine has changed the order of preparation, evaluation and selection of investment projects. Those are programs that can be implemented with the money of the State Regional Development Fund, the press service of the government reported.
"The Cabinet of Ministers has amended Paragraph 5 of the procedure for preparation, evaluation and selection of investment programs (projects) that can be implemented with the money of the State Regional Development Fund. The government adopted Decree 30 to this effect on January 23, 2012," the report reads.
It is noted that the changes were to be made because of the repeated appeals of local government authorities. The matter is that it was impossible to finance such projects from the state fund.
The Cabinet reminded of Resolution 656 on the state fund for regional development, which was adopted last summer. The document was to reduce the minimum estimated cost of investment projects, which are implemented with these budgets. Then it was to be a reduction from 5 million UAH to 1 million UAH for projects of regional significance, as well as from 1 million UAH to 200 thousand UAH for projects of district significance.
The government is confident that the change of the procedure for the preparation, evaluation and selection of investment projects will help solve problem issues in Ukrainian provinces.
