Bangladesh sees nearly 12% growth in July-November FDI

During the first five months of the current 2012-13 fiscal year ending in June (July 2012-June 2013), net amount of foreign direct investment or FDI in Bangladesh was nearly 12 percent higher from that in the same period a year ago, central bank data showed Tuesday.
The Bangladesh Bank (BB) data showed in the five months of the current 2012-13 fiscal year, net FDI inflows were recorded at 650 million U.S. dollars against 583 million U.S. dollars in the same period a year earlier.
BB, however, did not provide any further details on the FDI inflows.
Net FDI inflows in the South Asian country in last 2011-12 fiscal year (July 2011-June 2012) stood at about 1 billion U.S. dollars against 775 million U.S. dollars in the previous 2010-11 fiscal year, the BB data showed.
