Direct investment in foreign economies increased

679.5 million dollars of direct investment was sent from Ukraine to the economies of other countries in 2010, which is almost 10 times more than in 2009 (69.8 million dollars), the press office of the State Statistics Service reported.
The volume of direct investments from Ukraine to economies of other countries, given foreign exchange rate difference and capital losses, as of 1 January 2011 amounted to 6 billion 871.1 million dollars, including to EU countries 6 billion 523.9 million dollars (94.9% of the total volume), CIS countries 246.4 million dollars (3.6%) and other countries of the world 100.8 million dollars (1.5%).
Direct investments from Ukraine were made in 46 countries, mostly in Cyprus (92.3%).
The amount of loans granted by Ukrainian residents to the enterprises of direct investment as of 1 January 2011 amounted to 130.9 million dollars.
Total direct investment in the economies of the world, including borrowings, amounted to 7 billion 002.0 million dollars.
