Kyiv tax service reimburses VAT for about 3.6 billion UAH in 2012

Kyiv-based enterprises received on their accounts 3,585 million UAH of value added tax reimbursed from the budget in 2012.
This was reported by the chair of the State Tax Service in Kyiv, Iryna Nosachova, the STS press service reported.
"Compared with 2011, by 1,494 million UAH of VAT refunds more came to the accounts of payers," Nosachova said.
According to her, only in December last year, the taxpayers of the city of Kyiv received more than 358 million UAH of budget refunds of VAT.
She added that in 2012, the automatic compensation in Kyiv involved 67 business entities, which received 470 million UAH of budget compensation of the tax.
"According to the returns for last October, that is in December, the criteria for automatic VAT refunds were met by 29 companies that received to their settlement accounts more than 130 million UAH," the chief tax official of the capital assured.
Throughout 2012, STS officials in Kyiv prevented illegally claimed reimbursement of VAT in the amount of 697 million UAH.
