Astarta exceeded sugar production forecast in 2012

According to the official information released by the company, Astarta has produced 415 KMT of sugar in 2012. Company stated that its mills continue refining sugar bits. Company forecasted beet sugar production in 2012 at 400 KMT, or up 8.1% from 2011 (370 KMT) in November of 2012. Company is aiming to proceed with its business strategy next season of 2013.
AgroInvest comment: Astarta was one of the few agricultural holdings that stuck with sugar production business despite falling price of the commodity, proceeding to increase production volume of sugar.
