Ukrainians recognized among the poorest in Europe

Studies of the GFK international company testifies to that, which had analyzed possible expenses in 2013 in 42 European countries, the mass media informs.

The company analysts calculated that, on average, every citizen of those states spends EUR 12,800 to pay for goods and services, at the same time, Ukrainians and citizens of other eight states, including Belarus and European Union member Bulgaria - less than 25% of this amount.

Citizens of Norway and Switzerland are the richest in Europe, who can spend twofold more funds against Europeans, and the Principality of Liechtenstein with population of about 35,000 persons, is an absolute leader, whose citizens spend fourfold more funds.

"In total, 72% of the European purchasing power is concentrated in the hands of 50% of citizens from the analyzed countries," the GFK analysts noted.

Citizens of Poland, which is a direct western neighbor of Ukraine, spend 45% of average European expenses on the background of 81% in Slovenia, 58% in the Czech Republic and 60% in Slovakia.

By the way, expenses of the Greeks, who suffer from the crisis, are only 10% less against the average European norm.

By the level of expenses, without taking into consideration the population number, the ten leaders include Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Holland, Switzerland, Poland and Belgium.

The Germans, by the GFK estimates, this year, may spend EUR 1.6 trillion, whereas the Belgians - EUR 212 billion, and citizens of 38 million Poland - EUR 220 billion.

According to official data, in November last year, the average wage in Ukraine was about UAH 3,100 or less than EUR 300 a month.
