Ukraine. Agriculture Ministry plans to supply $17 b worth of products to foreign markets

Ukraine can export USD 17 billion worth of agricultural products this year.
Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk made such a forecast on Wednesday at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, a UKRINFORM correspondent reported.
"This year's exports of agricultural products will reach 17 billion dollars. Last year the figure was 13 billion dollars, or USD 4 billion more. The surplus will be about 10 billion dollars," he said.
According to figures provided, the major consumers of Ukrainian agricultural products are Asian and EU countries. Prysiazhniuk said that Ukraine had exported over 25% of agricultural products to EU countries, which was 2.2% more than last year.
In addition, domestic products are actively purchased by African countries whose share in exports is about 18%.
