GDP of Tajikistan reaches $ 6.84 billion in January-November, 2012

The GDP of Tajikistan for eleven months of this year totaled 32.6 billion somoni (over $6.84 billion), according to the National Bank on Tuesday.
"The growth was 7.5%," said in a statement.
According to NBT, stable growth was formed by increased retail sales of 17.1%, services - 14.5%, production of the agricultural sector - by 9.8% and industrial products - by 9.8%.
"Inflation was stable in eleven months at the level of 6.3%, it is 2.8% lower if compared to the same period of 2011," noted in the NBT.
In order to retain the stability of cash flow and reduce the pressure of inflation, NBT for 11 months used the monetary levers, in particular by reducing the refinancing rate to 6.5% per annum.
The reserve funds amounted to 4.3 billion somoni (over $902 million) as of November 30, 2012. This figure exceeds the figure for the same date in 2011 by 26.2%.
