Kazakhstan is seriously losing its position in the Customs Union. Contrary to the assurances of officials, exports of vehicles are in decline, article of LS said.
Balance on Kazakhstan's foreign trade with the countries of the Customs Union amounted to minus $ 4.7 billion for the first half of 2012. This rate was $ 3.4 billion only in the first six months of the last year. The loss is 40.3%.
According to him, Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover with the countries of the Customs Union for the 1st half of 2012 decreased by 4%.
"Overall, the share of Kazakhstan in the Customs Union was 16.9%. For comparison, last year, the proportion was 20%," said the unnamed source of the edition.
At the same time, Kazakhstan cut exports to $ 3.3 billion in the first half ($ 4.2 billion - for 6 months in 2012). Import increased by 5.9% or from $ 7.5 billion to $ 8 billion.
If we consider the main partner in the Customs Union - Russia, the total volume of foreign trade went down by 4.2% or from $ 11.4 billion to $ 10.9 billion, exports decreased by 21.7% or from $ 4.1 billion to $ 3.2 billion, while imports increased by 5.7% or from $ 7.3 billion to $ 7.7 billion, balance was minus $ 4.5 billion ($ 3.2 billion).
The situation is somewhat different with Belarus. Kazakhstan has seen an increase in front of foreign trade by 3%. Kazakhstan had increase in imports area by 10.5% or from $ 271 million to $ 299.4 million. Export was reduced by 30.1% - $ 42.4 million compared to $ 60.6 million, balance was negative at $ 256.9 million.
