India's Nov exports dip by 4%: imports up by 6%

India's exports during November stood at $22.30 billion, lower by four percent than the $23.27 billion in November, 2011, while imports registered a growth of six percent at $41.59 billion, compared with $39.10 billion in last November, leaving a trade deficit of $19.29 billion, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry data say.
Cumulative value of exports for the period April-November was $189.22 billion, compared with $201.19 billion in the corresponding period a year-ago, registering a six percent decline, whereas that of imports fell by two percent to $318.72 billion from the $323.82 billion in April-November 2011 period, leaving a trade deficit of $129.5 billion.
Oil imports during November were $14.52 billion, higher by 17 percent than the $12.44 billion for the same month last year, wile non-oil imports stood at $27.06 billion, compared with $26.67 billion in last November, a decline of two percent.
