Maximum volume of wheat exports will not exceed 5.6-5.7 million tons - Prysiazhniu

Ukraine has exported the maximum amount of wheat - 5.5 million tons. At the same time, the export limit will still be higher, but not more than by 2-3% (5.6-5.7 million tons), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported with reference to its head, Mykola Prysiazhniuk.
"The ministry is not planning to impose any restrictions on the export of this crop. Now the loading of the last few ships with wheat is finishing at Ukrainian ports. They will be released freely so as not to derail the contracts concluded earlier," the official said.
Commenting on the situation, the director of the ministry's department for economic development of the agricultural market, Vitaliy Sabluk, said that traders had stopped buying wheat on the domestic market and its export. "We expect that grain traders will no longer export wheat, as we agreed. Instead they will be engaged in the export of corn and other crops," he informed.
