The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects grain harvest increase in 2013 by 11.8% up to 51 million tons from 45.6 million tons in 2012, according to the explanatory memorandum to the draft budget for 2013 published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"The anti-inflation deterrents of non-monetary nature will be: expectations of a high grain yield, sufficient both to meet the domestic demand and to support high exports (51 million tons against 45.6 million tons in 2012); the creation of wholesale markets for agricultural products; construction of vegetable and fruit storage facilities, modern livestock complexes, in particular, for growing cows and milk production," the document says.
