39.5 million tons of grain harvested

As of October 26, Ukraine has harvested 39.5 million tons of grain, which is almost 9.2% less than by the same date in 2009.
In particular, the output of corn was 10 million tons against nearly 6 million tons as of October 26, 2009. The average yield of this crop now stands at 43.9 centners per hectare against 47.1 centners per hectare last year.
In addition, by October 26, agricultural enterprises harvested 6.8 million tons of sunflower seeds, which is 11.5% more than by the same date last year.
