Ukraine harvested 45.3 million tons of grain

According to the minister, corn harvesting is ending, being threshed on 93% of the projected areas. "I would like to note the success of the current set of autumn field works. We are almost done collecting all crops except corn, - said Prisyazhnyuk. According to him, Ukraine has nearly 45.3 million tons of grain today, but planned to get 46.2 million tones in clear weight with an average yield of more than 31 q/ha. Altogether it is planned to harvest about 21 million tons of corn, said Prisyazhnyuk.
The minister also noted the positive trend for the harvesting of sugar beet, the yield of which has increased and amounted to 402 quintals per hectare in comparison to the previous year's result of 369 quintals per hectare. Prisyazhnyuk said that at present the farmers have already taken to sugar-mills 17 million tones of sweet root. The minister also pointed out the success of the plan for the production of soybeans. As of today, more than 97% of the area planted with soybeans was worked and 2.3 million tons of this crop harvested.
