According to the official information released by Astarta, company’s net profit decreased by 10% or EUR 9.5 M to the level of EUR 84.002 M compared to the same period of 2011. At the same time, company’s revenues grew by 62% to EUR 235 M, while EBITDA grew by 6% to EUR 115 M. Company increased volume of sales for sugar by 54%; for grains by 60% and for milk by 33%

AgroInvest comment: Increased volume of sales was not enough to compensate for lower prices for sugar (which is the main source of sales revenue for the company).
