Ukraine. Retail trade turnover 15.7% YTD - state statistics

Retail trade turnover in Ukraine since the beginning of 2012 has reached 650.4 billion UAH, which is 15.7% more than over the like period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.
"Retail sales in January-October 2012 amounted to 650.4 billion UAH, which in comparable prices is 15.7% more than in January-October 2011," the report reads.
According to the State Statistics Service, holding the lead in terms of the volume of retail trade are Kyiv - 83.13 billion UAH and Donetsk region - 63.55 billion UAH. The smallest volume of retail trade turnover was observed in Sevastopol - 7.96 billion UAH and Chernivtsi region - 9.07 billion UAH.
The highest growth rates by retail trade turnover were recorded in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (+19.6%), the lowest in Lviv (+11.5%), and Chernivtsi (+11.4%) regions.
As reported, retail trade in Ukraine in the first 9 months of 2012 amounted to 578.2 billion UAH.
