Bank revenues 8% up in 10 months - NBU

Ukrainian banks' revenues in the first ten months of 2012 made UAH 124.424 billion, which is 8% more than last year, the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

"The revenues of Ukrainian banks in comparison with the like period in 2011 increased by 8% to account for UAH 124.424 billion," the report reads.

Expenses of the banks, according to the regulator, rose by 0.2% to make UAH 120.626 billion.

During the ten months of 2012, banks made a profit of UAH 3.8 billion (for the like period in 2011 a loss of UAH 5.2 billion).

The structure of banks' incomes as of November 1, 2012: interest income - UAH 97.627 billion (78.5%), commission income - UAH 17.444 billion (14%), result from trading activities - UAH 3.231 billion (2.6%), other operating income - UAH 4.273 billion (3.4%).

The structure of expenses: interest expenses - UAH 55.837 billion (46.3%), commission expenses - UAH 2.538 billion (2.1%), other operating expenses - UAH 11.241 billion (9.3%), general administrative expenses - UAH 29.768 billion (24.7%), transfers to reserves - UAH 21.011 billion (17.4%).
