Romania's second-largest grain trader, the local arm of Toepfer International, has expanded its business even further in Romania with the recent development of a 7,000-tonne silo located in Ialomia County.

With this move the company competes with Intercereal, the largest silo holder in the region, which operated nearly 11,300 hectares of Romanian farming land in 2009.
