Sugar market remains calm

Experts of "UkrAgroConsult" analyzed the situation on the sugar market.
Sugar season is in full swing. This year, Ukraine expects sugar production to be at 1,8-1,85 million tons, which is 22% less than in 2011. Carry-over stocks at the beginning of 2012/13 MY were about 650 thousand tons. Domestic consumption of sugar is at 1.8 million tons so the domestic demand for own beet sugar is fully satisfied.
The above data make it possible to assert that there is no reason for price fluctuations in sugar market and it is stable.
