Ukrrichflot announced that it will open in a river elevator in Dnipropetrovsk in February. The 30,000 ton facility, and the barges and tugs already owned by the company will lower cost of exporting grain from that region. However the company may find that like Nibulon, which was building a much larger river transportation system, that the business is unprofitable unless it can get special permission from the government to export product.
