Paliamentary deputies propose an internet land registry

Two parliamentary deputies registered a draft law yesterday which would simplify the procedure for issuing land titles, registering land transactions, and obtaining information on land ownership. The proposed land cadastre would also be internet based and easily accessible. Although the proposed law may not take into all the necessary nuances to operate a land cadastre, the principle of a simple, accessible and transparent system should form the basis of Ukraine’s future land cadastre. However we doubt this will occur or that the draft will ever make it to first reading.
