Kyrgyzstan has grounds to impose restrictions for import of several products from Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan declared today.
Kyrgyzstan is ready to adopt several measures with regard to imports from Kazakhstan: to impose protective measures regarding import of confectionery; to limit quotas for import of alcohol from Kazakhstan; to tighten issuance of licenses for import of tobacco products; to ban import of livestock products from frontier areas of Kazakhstan having 6 foci of foot-and-mouth disease and anthrax, as Kazakhstan freely exports livestock products and vegetables to Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry said.
