Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus may sign an intergovernmental agreement on the harmonization of excise duties on alcohol and tobacco on December 17, Secretary of State, Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov said, RIA Novosti reported.
"We have to prepare the intergovernmental agreement of the three countries by December in order to align the rates on strong alcohol, low-alcohol beverages and cigarettes by 2020," he said.
"The heads of state may even sign on December 17," the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance added.
