Representatives of Ukrainian business circles are planning to set up a number of joint stock enterprises with Finnish partners. Ukrainian and Finnish businessmen came to such an agreement during a business forum in Helsinki within the frames of a visit of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine) to the Scandinavian countries.

In addition to Finland, the delegation visited Norway, Denmark, Sweden, where it also participated in business forums and held talks with local businessmen. The main subject of discussion at the meeting was intensification and revival of trade relations between Ukraine and each of the countries. In particular, representatives of Norway became interested in development of relations in the sphere of energy-saving technologies, Danish businessmen focused on cooperation in the sphere of transport and food industries, while Swedish companies expressed interest in the Ukrainian agroindustrical complex and use of transport corridors via Ukraine's territory. "Cooperation is envisaged in export-import issues in such directions as the rocket-space sector, aircraft building, machine building, shipbuilding spheres, up-to-date technologies, agroindustrial complex, protection of intellectual property," according to the Chairman of the delegation, President of the ICC Ukraine, President of the Secretariat of the Coordination Committee on Raising Competitiveness of the National Economy at the Cabinet Volodymyr Shchelkunov. In his opinion, similar negotiations will help intensify cooperation with Scandinavian countries.
