In the first half of 2012 foreign debt of Russia increased by 5%

In accordance with the revised data, the foreign debt added up to over 585 billion US dollars with a 7.3% growth, which is lower that the Central Bank of Russia expected in June. The increase in the second quarter equaled 7.393 billion US dollars, which is 2.7 times lower than 19.887 billion in the first quarter.
Russian media has reported that in the first half of 2012 the foreign debt of Russia increased by 5% and amounted to 572.667 billion US dollars. The increase in the foreign debt of the state authorities equaled 41.133 billion US dollars. The increase of the foreign loans of Russian banks equaled 41.133 billion US dollars.
