Fitch predicts slowdown in Ukraine's GDP growth in 2012 to 0.5%

Fitch Ratings has predicted a slowdown in growth in Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) from 5.2% in 2011 to 0.5% in 2012 and weak growth of 3.1% in 2013.
Fitch announced this in a commentary, UKRINFORM reported, with reference to Kommersant-Ukraine.
According to Fitch, a slowdown in economic growth, which is currently seen in some euro zone countries and the CIS region, including in Ukraine, usually produces a similar effect on the pace of lending.
Fitch notes that global macroeconomic trends greatly influence the pace of credit growth in the country along with some administrative decisions of the National Bank of Ukraine, which are largely tactical and short-term in nature.
