Ukraine sees inflation of 0.1% in September

The consumer price index in Ukraine in September 2012 was 100.1%, standing at 99.7% since the beginning of the year, the State Statistics Service has reported.
Compared with September 2011, the consumer price index amounted to 100.0%, whereas in the first nine months of 2012 compared with the same period in 2011 it was 100.8%.
Prices for food and non-alcoholic on the consumer market in September shrank by 0.1%. Vegetables and fruits fell in price by 5% and 2.3% respectively. Prices for fish and fish products, butter, poultry meat, processed grains and sugar dropped 0.1-0.6%. Eggs rose in price by 15.9%. Prices for pork grew by 2.6%, while margarine, rice and milk rose in price by 0.2-0.4%.
Tariffs for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 0.1%, including tariffs for housing and utility services by 0.2%, drainage by 0.2%, and water supply by 0.1%. At the same time, tariffs for hot water and heating shrank by 0.1%.
Ukraine's state budget for 2012 is based on the government's inflation forecast of 7.9%.
