GDP to reach $24,000 per capita in Kazakhstan by 2017

The gross domestic product will reach $ 24,000 per capita in Kazakhstan by 2017, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov said speaking during an extended meeting of the faction of the "Nur Otan" today, Kazakh media reported.
The economic growth is projected at 6 - 7.6% in the years 2013-2017.
He explained that "the data assumes an average of 7% growth in the economy over the medium term."
It also reported that the annual inflation rate in the years 2013-2017 will be in the range of 6-8%.
Akhmetov recalled that the GDP increased by 5.6% since the beginning of the year.
Additionally, he noted that inflation was 3.9% in the first nine months of this year against 6.2% of the last year.
International reserves of the country, including the National Fund, increased by $10.9 billion and $83.8 billion from the beginning of the year.
"Despite the growing crisis in the euro area and the economic slowdown in the EU and the U.S., economic development of Kazakhstan is saved," the prime minister said in conclusion.
